Veeco Instruments is selling a newly designed MOCVD system to LED manufacturers, claiming higher efficiencies from a redesigned flow flange and reduced cleaning cycles. The company said it expects the booming LED backlighting market to help drive demand for ~400 MOCVD tools industry-wide next year.
